There's a lot of "small web" navigation tools out there now - bukmark.club, Marginalia Search, indieblog.page, The Forest, ooh.directory, and eighteightthirtyone are just the ones I have bookmarked. These are fun! I don't expect to get recommended to stuff I'm actually going to follow in my RSS reader through these sites, though. The vast majority of neocities pages or personal blogs are interesting to me just as a momentary distraction. They are mostly things I intend to look at for less than fifteen minutes, as some kind of palate-cleansing view into someone else's life. So I was excited to see Warp Point kick off this week, because it's a small web/blog aggregator specifically targeted at videogame blogs, which is the one kind of blog I'm likely to be more interested in than a random sampling of personal sites.
