2026 Anniversary Series 062: Dead Man in Reno – Dead Man in Reno 0 ▲ The Killchain 1 hour ago · Writing · hide · 0 comments Scribed by Sandre the Giant Released: 9th June 2006 The Anniversary Series has always tried to be as light on the self indulgence as it can be, but for the self titled debut from Alabama metalcore bruisers Dead Man in Reno (for whom I can find very little information nowadays and who seem to have split up a long time ago, although a new successor project, Tell the World, has recently appeared and who I must remember to check out), I must profess this will be a little self indulgent. This is one of the first CDs I ever bought at a show, from a band I had never heard of beforehand but were so impressive it began a twenty plus year mantra of ‘don’t miss the support bands’. I still stand by that today, because of Dead Man in Reno. ‘Dead Man in Reno’ is an album I bought at a King Tuts gig in 2006 when I saw the band support Sikth on their ‘Death and a Dead Day’ tour (more on that another time), and I had no idea who they were or what they sounded like when I walked in that door that… No comments yet.
