I’ve been enjoying non-smartphone cameras lately. My most recent acquisition, a Canon Rebel XS T5, takes beautiful photos, even though the camera is over 10 years old. There’s something wonderful about holding a ‘real’ camera in my hand, and something even better when there’s not a lot of behind the scenes magic going on with post image processing. In their quest to make iPhone photos look as magnificent as possible, Apple tends to add a ton of post processing to images, giving them a very sharp and saturated look. This is even with the settings changed with their “mood selector” settings panel. I took this photo during my walk this evening. The sunlight was perfect for evening shots. I didn’t apply any post editing to this photo. The focus is a little bit of, but it’s a step in the right direction.
