What’s in a name? 0 ▲ James Hilton 1 hour ago · Life · hide · 0 comments It was whilst enjoying watching ‘Wantage’ in 009 at the weekend that I remembered my error on Coalbridge Street. Inspired by the Wantage Tramway and overlaid on a New England back story; the connection point extended to the two customers at the end of the line…Clark’s flour mill and Langton’s builders merchant - but there it was, an unforced error! In my haste I had originally mis-remembered the coal merchants name at Wantage as Langton, in-fact it was Langford. I’d always meant to address this but operation and other detailing got in the way.However, the layout is visiting Larkrail next month and so a timely opportunity to correct the anomaly. Creating and printing a replacement was a just a moments work but then with the old sign removed an opportunity to up the ‘Lavalley’ connection; this yard was inspired by Lavalley at Claremont, and the sign on their builders yard.
