Maybe you've already seen some other folks blog about it! For the uninitiated (or the very young), a webring is basically a group of websites that all link to each other in some way, usually with a widget that they all display. It's a way of supporting and promoting other blogs with similar subject matter or interests. So Warp Point is one of those, but for independent blogs about video games, which is great. But the reason I really like the cut of Warp Point's jib (apart from being anti-corporate and anti-substack) is that it's also a really slick directory of every site that joins, with categories to browse through, and my favorite part: a nice homepage with one featured post and a list of recent posts from member blogs. I really love this because while the idea of a webring or a directory isn't new, it feels like a weakness of a lot of other sites like this is that they tend to be a flat list of sites with a short… No comments yet.
