Well, I wasn’t when I got an ad on Instagram from Onue Bakery, but after seeing the ad I realized that was, in fact, something I definitely wanted in my life. I am slightly familiar with the concept of shipping fresh baked cookies, as I have ordered from Levain Bakery once before and received a pack of their dense, bakery style cookies. Levain’s website says they bake daily and ship nationwide, so I was curious how Onue Bakery operated. On their “how it works” page, they say they open orders on Monday, close orders on Saturday (or earlier if they sell out), bake everything fresh on Sunday, and ship everything out on Monday. They don’t ship to Hawaii or Alaska for freshness purposes. Onue Bakery boasts that they use Irish butter, unbleached flour, and high quality eggs.
