Beginning with fall 2025, I started establishing seasonal themes at The New Leaf Journal. My fall 2025 and winter and spring 2026 themes were a bit catch-all and arguably under-utilized. But that changes with summer 2026, because I have settled on a clear and distinct topical theme that will not go under-utilized. On July 4, 1776, the United States was – or as some may have said, were – born with the ratification of the Declaration of Independence. Thus, my summer theme will be America’s 250th, and I will be publishing articles throughout the summer in the America 250 spirit. (Note that while I will be publishing many American history articles this summer, I will also publish my regular selection of articles on other, unrelated topics, in the spirit of my anti-niche approach to running a writing website.)
