Walking from Clapton to Brick Lane in the heat on The Dig’s East London Record Shop Vinyl Crawl. I’ve been following Stewart Lee’s brilliant tour on Instagram around the record shops and music locations of the London Borough of Hackney, with excursions across the border into Tower Hamlets, to promote The Dig – a crawl around 14 record shops from Stoke Newington to Brick Lane. The date was in my calendar, 27th June, so regardless of the heat I was going to attempt as many of the record shops as I could before both the heat and the complimentary beer got to my legs.
