Since my last review of the Epomaker TH99 Pro, Epomaker have been generous enough to offer me another review opportunity, this time addressing one of my qualms about the TH99 Pro – its weight. For productive people that travel about, we often compromise on keyboard comfort when we’re not at home. Mushy membranes seem to be the only thing on offer normally, as a mechanical keyboard is physically big and heavy, making it inconvenient to carry around in a backpack and nearly impossible to squeeze into a 7kg carry-on allowance when all other battery-operated digital items are considered. To address this, I chose Epomaker’s Carbon60 – a 60% keyboard (i.e. fewer keys) built in a carbon-fibre chassis using hot-swappable, low-profile Gateron switches with a DSA keycap profile.
