Done is good

So I finally, finally finished cleaning up the book manuscript. It still needs its cover (coming along nicely; I like what I’ve seen so far and hope you will, too), administrivia like ISBNs, and some final front and back matter before going out for proofing. But in the meantime, I have a series style guide, I have the manuscript formatted in Vellum, and I have an ARC. I’m not done-done, obviously. But the remaining tasks aren’t too bad and (provided proofing and shipping goes smoothly) shouldn’t be an enormous time sink. (I hope the publishing gods will not interpret this as hubris and visit me with punishment.) I’m currently feeling good about a release date of September 2026 for Corners of the Deep Dark.
