Last night we drove out to the coast with plans to try and capture lightning sprites from a forecasted MCS over the Netherlands. If the MCS went to plan, and we had clear skies in between us, then we should have been within ideal sprite capturing range (100-200 miles). Typically things didn't quite go as hoped for, too much cloud from janky showers and lethargic storms blocked our view to the East/North East. Though I did capture a little bit of lightning from a nearby storm departing to our North. I nearly forgot about Noctilucents. We may have lost the opportunity to try for sprites but we ended up with probably the biggest display of NLCs so far this year. The storm pictured above cleared out just in time, leaving a clear(ish) view to our North. Seeing as I had success with the previous storm pano, I had another go with this three image pano.
