The dog whistles and subtle code talk of yore are no longer needed and can no longer be disguised when confronted with the blatant in your face actions of this administration. I have nothing against actual merit based programs and promotions- I do have everything against a system that places one race, one religion and one gender front, right and center! Particularly, that race is White, that religion is Christian, that gender is male- as has always been the case in the history of these semi-United States. After WW2, the US Armed Forces was one area where some modicum of diversity was promoted within the work force. We had progressed to the point where even the most conservative of military minds finally realized that the blood that stained any battlefield was uniformly red (and that most White youth had better things to do anyway).Now that Popgun Pete, our Manly Weekend…
