Threefold Death (2026) by Victoria Dowd

Last year saw the beginning of a new series by Victoria Dowd (who also writes the Smart Women mysteries – see my reviews for more info) starring a widowed journalist from the 1920s named Charlotte Blood. This sleuth debuted in Death in the Aviary and today I am taking a look at her next outing, which certainly ups the peril factor. By the end of this book, you’ll be thinking archaeology has never been so dangerous since Indiana Jones!
