"We haven't been formally introduced." Superman’s cousin, Supergirl (Milly Alcock), goes on the warpath when Krypto the Superdog is poisoned by a bad guy (Matthias Schoenaerts). Look it’s a heat wave and I need air con. This had the vibe of a competent film even though I am tired of superheroes, and that’s exactly what it is. It’s the standard fare. Good performances, decent enough writing, but forgettable action set pieces and ultimately doesn’t take any risks at all. Another drop in the ocean of not-offensively-bad superhero films.
