Kids don’t need their every moment curated. They need space to explore and follow their curiosity, unguided by parents. Our job is to provide the right safety net without interfering in their discovery. In the latest piece on Res Extensa, I think about how I’ve made an effort to give my kids the maximum “free roaming” space, without letting them dangerously imperil themselves.
