Giving Up on Raycast for Windows 0 ▲ Kai Gulliksen 1 hour ago · Tech · 0 comments I was quite excited about Raycast for Windows when I got invited to the beta back in July last year. And for a while the experience of using is was really good. But over the last few months it has slowly become incredibly slow and unresponsive.Having to wait multiple seconds for it to respond every time I pressed the shortcut to launch Raycast is not exactly the best user experience for a quick launcher. Something that would also happen quite frequently is that the app would just randomly quit. I’d press CTRL-Q to launch it and instead I would be greeted with the regular old Windows search bar instead. I tried to figure out what caused this to occur, but wasn’t able to find any rhyme or reason for it.So, now I’m back to using good old Flow Launcher. It’s rock solid, fast as hell, and work reliably. The only thing I miss from Raycast is the way it handles clipboard history, but I’m sure that once I get back into the… flow (heh) of using Flow Launcher it’ll feel just fine. No comments yet.
