“What a strange world we live in…” - Alice, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” (Lewis Carroll)Hello friends! We’re heading into my nervous system’s least favorite week of the year - I saw the firework tents when I was out today - things have gotten weirder. Today they captured a “baby” alligator at the lake where I walk. I mean - what? In Missouri? I’m just glad I didn’t come across that one.Here are my photo choices for today, including flipping back through some migration photos. I will eventually get to more of the June photos!June 14, 2026 - it’s remained cool and wet, but that’s about to change!The dewpoints have been so low that the dragonflies don’t even have water on their wings! (eastern pondhawk, female)Plenty of baby chickadees chasing each other about!Plenty of large cloud formations to remind me of the vastness of the universe.The goldfinches love it as the wildflowers explode. Dandelions, thistle, and chicory are all favorites!The world seems extra squirrely right…
