This “royal progress” has all been facilitated by writers Nadia Devereux (who also directs), Joshua Poole & Lyon Devereux, as well as the involvement of Ceridwen Theatre Company. The basic premise is that a group of monarchs throughout history have been taken from their timelines in order to participate in therapy sessions; to start with they have one-on-one appointments, then later they move to group sessions with other monarchs. The main rule here is that they’re not allowed to divulge spoilers if they know the fate of their fellow participants, however tempting it is… This session, run by Dr Thompson, brings Charles II, Henry VIII, Marie Antoinette, Mansa Musa & Sophia Duleep Singh together – quite the combination of characters!
