Our electric utility is NYSEG (New York State Electric and Gas), which is owned by a Spanish company, Iberdrola (use the translate feature in your browser). It is pretty much despised in the region for its high rates and shitty service. A week ago, during a period of strong, gusty winds, power flickered on and off most of the afternoon. Our LG induction range apparently took a hit, as our oven now no longer functions. It's out of warranty and it's going to be a $369 service call to get it fixed. Today the power flipped on and off repeatedly. Twelve times, as reported by my Ting monitor, between 1:32PM and 1:56PM. I finally got fed up and opened all the breakers in the panel. Mitzi was out running errands, and when she got back I decided to plug the EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 into the generator connection we had installed in our mechanical room.
