Back, I Think

It hasn't quite been a full month and I'm already missing it here, which I think is a good sign. I've come to the conclusion that I really like treating this blog as a personal journal, and that's okay. I'm a remnant of the old days of blogging, when it was more journal entries and less essays, and it's hard for me to get away from that, even now. I still want to write thoughtful pieces as well, but I don't think that has to be my focus. I can use this space to simply chronicle my life and have something to look back on. I think it's worthwhile to be able to revisit old posts and reminisce and see how things have changed or stayed the same. I've mentioned before that I think of this blog as like my teenage bedroom that I spent so much time decorating and personalizing. I've done that here, and it has become a space where I can very much just be comfortable and be myself. I think I kinda need that. That being said, I'm turning off the "toasts" function for now.
