ALTALTDuring a preview of The Walt Disney Studios area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (yes, both are called that; formerly Animation Courtyard), these white cans made their debut. They are… acceptable.Compared to the cans actually deployed at the real lot of The Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, the graphic treatment is a reasonable approximation, though the original font carries a bit more visual weight. The label graphics on the Florida cans also feature a noticeably larger corner radius on their rounded rectangle border, giving them a softer look compared to the tighter, more squared-off corners on the originals.The more significant difference, however, is color.The Burbank cans appear in period-appropriate hues, as seen in the comparison shots featuring gold, salmon, and cream finishes. The Florida versions are just white. The cynic in me suspects this was a cost-saving decision: WDW has an extensive white can inventory already in rotation, making a graphic swap considerably easier…
