Someone reminds Yang Zhenghui, who runs an online channel about true crime, about his ex-girlfriend Vivian, so he decides to look her up to see what she’s been doing. To his surprise, he realises that she has disappeared. His amateur detective work leads him to ceramic artist Zeng Jie. And one thing leads to another that makes him suspect that Zeng Jie ‘disappeared’ Vivian. This leads him to stick his nose into matters that don’t concern him, which makes a few people unhappy… My Thoughts Blemish Flaw grabs you pretty quickly. I initially thought this was a straightforward crime drama, but it’s more of a mind-bending, twisty drama full of unreliable narrators. Half the time, I’m not sure which version of the crime I’m watching or from whose perspective! What I love about this drama is that you feel sure you know what happened to Vivian, but the next episode reveals more of the story from another perspective and completely changes the game.
