The title says it all really. As part of ShinyZeni’s Zenithon from 2025, one of the incentives was to do an Any% run while wearing those famous Squirtle Squad shades and the game of choice was Super Metroid. I remember Lee Provost of Pokémon VGC and casting fame used to wear them as a joke during shiny streams and found it difficult so knowing that ShinyZeni could do a decent speedrun with them on is quite the feat. This isn’t important but the reason I found this at all was because I made an app that takes the tags from this blog (and others) and picks some at random to do a Google search with. And guess what came up for this one? Squirtle and Metroid. Apparently we have a new answer to “name a better duo” and it’s my favourite starter and a bad ass bounty hunter in a mech suit.
