Mayor Norm?

I still owe you another genealogy deep-dive, but it's going to have to wait (again) because there has been a development (of sorts). We all know that Bill can't run for mayor this time around - not because he may have cheated on his nominations documents in the Ward 5 by-election last year, but because he didn't submit his campaign finances (again). Which isn't stopping Bill from involving himself in the election (as usual, of course). Since he can't run himself, Bill has said that he's going to get his friends to run (in nearly every riding, though none are listed as unofficial candidates yet), starting with his new best friend and chief deputy chief, Norman Vincent Traversy. I, uh, borrowed this image from Vice, who wrote about one of Traversy's fundraisers back in 2020. Traversy is, if anything, a more interesting character than Bill - an ex-Mississauga-firefighter apparently suffering from PTSD who has become a darling of the Freedom Convoy circuit, he seems to have called Ottawa…
