It's hot as hell today, 33C today, 34C tomorrow. My brain is mush, so seen as I haven't written anything in a while, and in attempt to be somewhat productive it's time for an update on the whole music self-hosting thing (parts one and two). About a month ago I was spelunking in the loft and I came across an old backup hard drive that had a copy of my music library from about seven or eight years ago. Score! I've been dealing with some bitrot, random missing tracks in albums, that sort of thing, which I'm guessing was something to do with Apple Music Match. I had a list of what was missing thanks to beets, so I was able to fix the large majority of the missing tracks. Only fourteen missing tracks left. I've also been doing some passes over the library using Picard to fix up artwork, metadata, and make better use of tagging. I had become very used to iTunes' "only one tag" setup, so having the ability to add multiple tags to albums is fantastic. Most egregious artwork crime? I found…
