I have decided to volunteer within education, this could be as something like a governor or a trustee. I believe our education system needs a complete overhaul but given that's unlikely to happen, I want to be able to help in some capacity and this was the best way that I thought could fit in with my current life. That said, it's not entirely selfless, being able to become a governor would of course help me build more skills that could help with my career and there's also the potential of meeting new connections and building a network. I've been accepted and I'm now waiting for a placement but I'm excited, it's something new and it provides me with a different challenge that I'm sorely lacking at the minute. Enjoy this?
