I’m typing on my phone holding horizontally. It feels a bit weird, I don’t usually write this way. Usually I write vertically or “portrait” mode or whatever you call it. I kind of like this way though too; it’s growing on me. I am on the CFA (charactered financial analyst) promotional mailing list. I was skimming through my emails and I missed the chance to join a zoom interview with the reigning excel world champions. Dang. Excel is pretty important. I overheard a story a few years back; someone at a large oil and gas company changed a formula in a single save file that thousands of people excel models referenced to across the company. It shut down trading company wide for the whole day. Probably a couple millions dollars lost, maybe more. Crazy stuff. On a resume I’d say I’m an advanced user but in reality I’d say I am intermediate. I know macros, most basic functions, pivot tables (kind of), regressions, stuff like that. I hard to use it a lot in university. Since then not so much.…
