The VogueKonica Auto S2AristaPan 100Rodinal 1+252026 As part of shooting cameras I don’t use very often to see if they get to stay in my collection, I got out my Konica Auto S2 on a recent Friday afternoon and shot an entire roll of film on a single solo photowalk through Broad Ripple Village here in Indianapolis. I’ve written a lot this year about the ups and downs of doing independent consulting for a living, but a definite up is that when I have a light meeting load on a Friday, I can just go out and do something like this. While walking, all of a sudden I hear someone excitedly call my name. It was an old boss, who has his own company headquartered in Broad Ripple. He’d just picked up his lunch from a restaurant down the street. It felt good that he was excited to see me. I photographed a lot of my usual subjects around the Village, including the Vogue Theater. I didn’t notice the two young women sitting on a blanket in the shade until after I’d made the photo and walked by them.…
