general life update! heatwave day 7 or 8 of the current heatwave. 4 more to go, the worst of the bunch. apartment "cools down" to 28 at night, so in a way days are actually better (we can run the small AC in the other room). fingers crossed we make it. crafts i've progressed on the blanket, knitting up all the 3 recent balls of yarn! i can either brush out some rolags for another batch or maybe move the quilt along instead? i started the quilt when i saw how many of my old t-shirts were unsalvageable and didn't want to throw them out, but to be honest the colors aren't very exciting for like.. home decor. also still not sure how i'll progress after i've made the quilt top. traditionally - go buy some batting? improvise with the weird coverlet we have and use that as a 2-in-1 batting and backing, just sewing the quilted bits on top? go completely bananas and sew it onto one side of the knit blanket i'm making???? then it would be reversible, with different textures, too... idk,…
