NO-ONE IS GOING TO BUY YOUR GAME is a manifesto by illomens aka Mike Cook which digs into why you should focus less on making games to sell and more on making games you actually want to make for the sake of making them. While I don’t make games myself, it resonated with me a lot because I replaced games with music and it really clicked (I make music). It was a realisation that I came to many years ago but it was good to get verification like this. It’s not a perfect manifesto as some people have pointed out but if you’re into video game development or want to get in, consider reading.
