One of my favourite, and underrated, features of the Bear notes app is the Random Note widget. I had it set on my Thoughts tag and another on Topics, surfacing random notes as part of my daily routine. It was a great way to rediscover something worth revisiting. As I moved to plain markdown files stored outside any single app, it was the key feature I missed. I went on a journey to rebuild it.
