Prism is our preferred Minecraft launcher, because it’s significantly faster than the stock Microsoft one, and includes cats. It’s also written in Qt, so it integrates well into our Fedora KDE Linux desktops. That reminds me, I’m overdue for a donation. But launching last night resulted in the following fun: GFLW error 65545: GLX: Failed to find a suitable GLXFBConfig. Please make sure you have up-to-date drivers The line about drivers was confusing, because I’d just upgraded and rebooted Fedora without issue. Turns out, I forgot that Prism was the only package I’d installed on the machine with Flatpak, a toolchain I otherwise tend to avoid where possible because I prefer repos. Fortunately, it was an easy fix: $ flatpak update And it worked. Huzzah! And now, some fluff I’ve encountered this issue a few times with Nvidia drivers on Fedora, and it always comes down to a mismatch between the graphics driver version, and the system’s kernel version.
