Let me preface this by saying yesterday ended in kind of a slump. I finished a hockey game in which us (a winless team in 8 games thus far) lost a second game in a row in a shootout – heartbreaking. This was after we were losing with 2 minutes to go, tied it up, gave up a goal 5 seconds later, then tied it up again to bring it to overtime. I digress. On my way out to my car as I'm about to chuck my stinky ass gear in the trunk I notice my rangefinder holder on my golf bag is empty, my heart dropped. No one returns rangefinders. There goes $200 down the drain... I resolved to not think about it until the morning when the proshop of the last course I played was open. After an easy going, productive half day at work, I call the last course I played at, which has been over two weeks ago. Lo and behold, luck and nice people were on my side, the course had it! Prior to finding out they had my rangefinder, my grandfather and I had already agreed to play golf on this 65ºF and sunny day. After…
