The Same Hobby

As part of a recent language programme, I was asked to give a short speech in Japanese. I'm finding it quite challenging to learn, so this was a golden opportunity to talk about something else it is teaching me. Setup: 皆さん、最近、面白いことがわかりました。 私の三つの趣味は、同じ趣味です。Folks uh, recently I realised something interesting: My three hobbies are the same hobby. Triple: その三つは、エレクトロニックな音楽と、走ることと、日本語の勉強です。The three are: electronic music, running, and studying Japanese. Beat 1: エレクトロニックな音楽が好きです。その音楽は、めちゃ長いです。多分、八分ぐらいです？でも、大きいところはありません。ゆっくり変わります。最後は、ぜんぜん違う音楽になります。I like electronic music.Tracks are very long. Probably around 8 minutes?But there's no big moment.It changes slowly.And at the end, it becomes completely different music. Beat 2: 走ることも、同じです。「今日、速くなりました」と思いません。でも、一年後、違う人になります。Running is the same too.I don't think, “Today I got faster”.But after a year, I become a different person.
