Last November I led a walk for a U3A nature group around Fromebridge. This morning they came down again to see how the reserve looks in spring. It’s always fun showing people around the reserve, and a good opportunity to recall the huge amount of work that took place over the winter. The seeded grassland, laid hedges, displaced water vole habitat and willow screening were just some of the projects to update on. This particular group normally walk in the north cotswolds, so it’s great they make the journey over to see our reserve. It turned out to be a very sunny day, if a little windy. Bumped into Pete over by Stone pit bridge who was doing some strimming there. In the afternoon, I headed over to the library for this weeks Dursley Code Club. There wasn’t one yesterday due to the bank holiday, but six children came along today. Some good python tutorial projects starting among this group which I’m sure will develop into something quite exciting over the next year or two.
