The music is stretched, experimental and is very much jazz fusion.I like this stuff and we still have Shorter, Hancock and Williams from the second great quintet. Some other great jazz cats as well in Dave Holland and Chick Corea. I’m diggin’ the stuff that guitarist John McLaughlin and keyboardist Josef Zawinul contributes. Besides Miles’ evergreen trumpet playing we have Shorter’s soprano sax standing out as a definite highlight.I enjoy mixing it up when I listen to jazz. A listening session becomes very interesting when you for example choose five records and it’s Booker Little, Albert Ayler, The Ensemble Al-Salaam, Ben Webster and then something from Miles’ later period.
