I hide it away in the technical info, for nerds, and leave it be for those who are interested. I've found a kit I like: two lenses work great for events, and a little muffin-shaped lens to walk around with on my own. All on a camera that I bought used that I've stuck with for more than a year.I'm happy with my gear. But parts are broken now, and I'm in trouble.Part of the issue with buying exclusively used gear is that I run the risk of buying hardware that's already started its ticking clock of expiration. Something mechanical will break, some vulnerable spot will be hit too hard, and materials will rot and degrade over time.
