Happy Father’s Day! I got woken up this morning with a tea after a delicious lay-in. I then got brought smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on muffins, honey yoghurt with granola and strawberries, fresh orange juice and a coffee…in bed, with a lovely collection of cards and chocolate-based gifts. After that perfect start to the day, I showered in peace, got dressed into summer gear and headed to the park with all 3 children for some time on the swings. My eldest boy cycled ahead of us and was already playing football with some of his schoolfriends when we turned up. My 4-year-old got on my knee to do some ‘higher, king of the sky’ swinging. My baby lay on my chest in the bucket swing and laughed and crawled about. We headed back and had a relaxed lunch and then kicked about in the garden and on the trampoline for the rest of the afternoon. The 6-year-old and 4-year-old played the worst board game of all time together (policeman and thieves)…the 6-year-old teaching the 4-year-old how to…
