Growing up, it wasn’t officially summer until we had Pie-Iron Pizza cooked over a campfire on a camping trip. It’s simplicity at its best: marinara, mozzarella, and pepperoni sandwiched between two slices of buttered white bread, secured in a pie iron, and cooked over the fire until golden brown with melty cheese inside. For years, living in New York with no campfires in sight, I could only dream of making them. Sure, I could have used a panini press or a skillet, but it’s not the same! Then I saw @jamesyworld using a stovetop pie iron (this is the one I bought) with a shorter handle, immediately bought one, and we were suddenly making these on the regular. Sadly, it’s not nearly as fun on an electric stove, so Portland friends with gas stoves: I’ll bring everything we need for Pie-Iron Pizza. I’ll even come prepared with scary campfire stories, like “Johnny, I Want My Liver.” IYKYK. Print Stovetop Arrabiata Pie Iron Pizzas (No Ratings Yet)Loading… Author: Trent Total Time: 15 minutes…
