The last few weeks have been absolutely brutal. This is usually the time of year when work starts to wind down for the summer leaving me with lots of time and energy for other things that I’d much rather be doing. But this year is a bit different. We’re in the middle of a big project at work which means long days and not a lot of energy left for when I get home.All of this makes me appreciate days like today even more. Lazy Sundays with no obligations and no pressing need to do anything but the bare essentials. My mind isn’t in the right place to be making art right now, so I don’t. Instead I sit outside and read and deal with little bits around the house that needs doing.Hopefully things at work will start to settle soon and I’ll be able to build up some mental energy again and be back to making art, but right now I’m all out of ideas.
