I'm sick and grumpy about it, been watching a lot of soccer and playing a lot of Zelda, plus mysteries and links. I am unfortunately sick again. Some sort of sinus / head cold / throat irritation / cough thing started on Monday and has just continued to be awful in new and exciting ways every day since then. I was last sick in March, only three months ago, so this is frustrating. One of the things I was worried about taking this job is that after years of masking indoors and rarely getting sick I'd start being exposed to large groups of people unmasked indoors. When I worked in university libraries I commonly got sick once per term so I have little faith in my immune system, this isn't just a covid thing, although that certainly ups the stakes. I finished work on Sunday and have spent the time off since then cleaning, running errands, trying to get as much household stuff off the to do list as possible while watching the football.
