On Tuesday, the "Oklahoma Standard" presented by the voters carried a stark contrast to the initiative's propaganda: when challenged to have empathy and consideration for their fellow citizens, those who even bothered to vote made a majority decision to hide behind technicalities and equivocations to avoid the discomfort of thinking about anyone but themselves.
