This article was originally drafted in 2024 but I struggled to finish it then. I was stuck wondering if I was just moaning over the past. Recently, Salma and Jo both shared thoughts that gave me the rage and energy to come back to this. Today is the day I finally have the courage to publish. I can’t recall how many times I thought of writing something like this. I thought of riding certain waves inspired by other authors but most times the embarrassment got the best of me. During those waves this post could have been titled “When I leave tech”, “I’m still a woman in tech” etc. But today it is called “it’s 2026 and women are still asked to teach others to think a little bit and don’t be a prick”.
