One is a browser and the other an editor. Even writing this, I don't know which is which. Their names and icons are so similar that I keep getting them confused. I couldn't take it anymore; I had to take drastic measures. That's why I replaced the icon of the Zen browser application with a nice-looking e logo. Here's how to do it on macOS: Close Zen. Create or download an alternative icon. Highlight the downloaded file in Finder and press CMD + C. Go to your applications folder, find Zen, right-click it, and select "Get info". Highlight the icon on the top left and press CMD + V. Open Zen. I used to use both, but Zen kept getting sherlocked and the workspaces ended up being not ergonomic enough for my multi-window workflow. Too easy to lose tabs when they could be in any one of 3 flavors of any open window. I did love tinkering with it!And then I stopped using Zed when it removed the one feature I thought made it shine brighter than anything, Text Threads. It also works for external drives you plug in. My project drive uses the trash icon.
