Missions, that Holodeck project from Lou Rebecca collaborator and synth maestro Josh Mills, has graced these pages a few times. So I figured I’d share a little something interesting Mills posted to Instagram not long ago. Apparently, he was called to set during the filming of season 2 of the hit Netflix series Beef to help star Oscar Isaac navigate the sick array of synths his character has on the show. Specifically, to show him the Minimoog for a key Hot Chip-related segment. (Notably, for Drive fans, his wife is played by Carey Mulligan). Also, if you haven’t watched this season yet, you should. It’s really good. Also, Finneas’s synth-heavy score is gorgeous.
