Don't look for me this summer

Today is a rest day for me from watching the World Cup matches. There are “meh” teams playing today at a decent hour for me: Czech Republic vs South Africa (Group A) – 5pm BST Switzerland vs Bosnia-Herzegovina (Group B) – 8pm BST Canada vs Qatar (Group B) – 11pm BST I’ll catch the scores and move on, me thinks. It’s Group Stage, so it’s a double “meh”; I can live with skipping these three. And, my country didn’t even qualify, so there is that. Nevertheless, I’m a solid, hardcore World Cup fan and have thoroughly enjoyed the matches that I’ve watched so far this competition. That ridiculously impossible Mbappe goal, Messi’s hat trick, the new-look England team that actually delivered, and the underdog African/Caribbean countries that gave their entitled opponents a good game and some food for thought. What’s not to love? This is the greatest game in the world.
