Version 4.6 of Mastodon Collections introduces lists of users to make it easier to find accounts on specific topics.When Bluesky launched, they had the great idea of Starter Packs. Essentially, these were user lists focused on specific topics. Anyone interested in TypeScript could find a TypeScript Starter Pack and then follow all, or even just individual, accounts within it with a single click. The idea quickly arose that this would also be a good idea for Mastodon, because finding accounts, especially for newcomers, can be difficult. Since such new features on Mastodon always take time to develop (which is often a good thing, as it allows for careful consideration), there was an external service for creating such packs.
