I do not think pastors need AI because sermons should become faster content. That is the worst version of this conversation. A sermon is not a blog post with a Bible verse attached. It carries prayer, study, people, grief, repentance, hope, and the weekly pressure of standing before a congregation with something true to say. If AI flattens that into generic religious language, it is not helping ministry. It is making ministry sound efficient while quietly making it less pastoral. But pastors should not pretend the pressure is not real. Most pastors are carrying more than sermon preparation. They are planning services, answering messages, checking on families, leading volunteers, preparing studies, and trying to be present at home. By the time they sit down for Sunday’s message, the blank page can feel heavier than the text itself. That is where AI can help. Not as a replacement preacher.
