Archon Studio – Masters of the Universe Battleground: Wave 5 – Evil Warriors Faction: Webstor & Hover Robots

After ending the previous post with a touch of foreshadowing, here we are – with another MOTU boxed set completed. These three were basically assembled and spray primed when I finished the last three, so I used that motivation to get them painted quickly. The Hover Bots were first – being pretty simple and straightforward. Again, I don’t really know who these characters are, so reference photos of the toys were super useful on top of the product art to see what was supposed to be going on. Not sure if those spider legs are part of Webstor (what an awful name) or part of his backpack. They’re…. kind of both on this model, so I assume that was also the workaround for the action figure back in the day as the MOTU figures had a LOT of part reuse across figures. Overall, painting these three was far less annoying than painting Leech and Scorpia, so perhaps I’ll start and even finish the next MOTU figures before 2027. Of course, there’s a lot more stuff higher on the priority scale, but…
