Day 124: Cold Sunset Wallpaper

2026-06-10Hello! This might replace the sunset wallpaper from my first few days of photography. I'll need to put it in the right aspect ratio, though...I'm out on a road trip again, departing mere minutes after the last person left my sleepover. I'll talk more about it once I'm home, because the internet speed here is slow and limited. Also because I'd like to see the sunrise which requires me to wake up at four in the morning. Ugh.So, things to note about this photo before I head out on the trail again: I thought it would look best as a monochrome photo, but when trying that, it didn't have the contrast or punch that I imagined. Pushing the contrast sliders too far in an editing program tends to produce unwanted artifacts, so if the original image doesn't look great in monochrome, I'm not going to turn it to mush trying to make it look like I hoped.As a blue photograph taken during blue hour (the hour of blue light after sunset), it goes pretty nicely when compared to the classic…
